※200,000 yen (the same amount as admission fee) reduction as Special Scholarship will be offered for all students in the first year.
※40% (312,000 yen) reduction of the school fees will be offered for all students in the first year. (From the second academic year, this reduction will be applicable by examination.)

Four Years (Students who have been previously enrolled in a postsecondary college or university are considered transfer students. It usually takes at least two years of study for transfer students in order to earn a bachelor’s degree.), April / September admission, 2010

Course Characteristics

1. School of Education, Division of Education, Japanese Interpretation Course

Japanese Interpretation Course aims to train International students to acquire not only proficiency in Japanese, but also practical skills which business and Japanese teaching fields require including translating and interpreting. For those applying from outside of Japan, we have “Pre-arrival Admission” system to secure admission without having to go to Japan.

2. School of Social Welfare, Division of Social Welfare, Social Welfare Business Management Course


Social Welfare Business Management Course aims to train students to acquire the knowledge required for managers of social welfare business and facilities. Students will learn advanced countries’ social welfare, economy, principle of market, management, information processing and so on.

Admissions Information(About “Pre-arrival Admission” examination)

(1) Qualification for Application

Those who have completed 12 or more years of formal schooling and eligible to enter colleges / universities in their home countries. Will be judged from results of EJU, Japanese Language Proficiency Test, J-TEST, or NAT-TEST held in 2008 or 2009. Those who passed Japanese Language Proficiency Test, higher than Level 2.

(2) Admission Procedure

An interview will be scheduled in applicants’ place of residence. Japanese Language Aptitude Test will be given.

Tuition and Fees

TUSW offers Special Scholarship (the same amount as admission fee: no need for repayment) and 40% reduction of the school fees for all the students enrolled in Japanese Interpretation Course and Social Welfare Business Management Course in Nagoya Campus in the first year.

※The system of school fees reduction by the article 4 on the payment of school fees of TUSW. From the second academic year, this reduction will be determined by examining students’ attendance records and academic achievements every year. By application of this reduction, annual total payment will be 778,000 yen every year.
