Course Characteristics

1. School of Education, Division of Education, Japanese Interpretation Course

This program aims to train international students to acquire proficiency in Japanese language and skills in communicating with Japanese and to train them into competent professionals in teaching, translating and interpreting Japanese.

Target licenses
*Passing Level1 of Japanese Language Proficiency Test (conducted by Japan Educational Exchange and Services) with over 300points
*Business Japanese Proficiency Test J1 Level (BJT, conducted by the Japan Kanji Aptitude Testing Foundation)
*Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test (acknowledged by Society For Teaching Japanese As a Foreign Language)

Teacher’ s certificates students are eligible to obtain upon graduation

*High school and junior high school teacher’s certificate (English language) *High school teacher’s certificate (Information studies)



2. School of Social Welfare, Division of Social Welfare, Social Welfare Business Management Course


Social Welfare Business Management Course aims to train students to acquire the knowledge required for managers of social welfare business and facilities. Students will learn advanced countries’ social welfare, economy, principle of market, management, information processing and so on.

Target licenses
*Passing Level1 of Japanese Language Proficiency Test (conducted by Japan Educational Exchange and Services) with over 300points
*Business Japanese Proficiency Test J1 Level (BJT, conducted by the Japan Kanji Aptitude Testing Foundation)
*Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test (acknowledged by Society For Teaching Japanese As a Foreign Language)

Licenses students are eligible to obtain upon graduation

*License to take the national examination for Certified Social Worker
*License to become Social Welfare Secretary




Admissions Information(About “Pre-arrival Admission” examination)

(1) Qualification for Application

Those who have completed 12 or more years of formal schooling and eligible to enter colleges / universities in their home countries. Will be judged from results of EJU, Japanese Language Proficiency Test, J-TEST, or NAT-TEST held in 2008 or 2009. Those who passed Japanese Language Proficiency Test, higher than Level 2.

(2) Admission Procedure

An interview will be scheduled in applicants’ place of residence. Japanese Language Aptitude Test will be given.
